Podcast Strategy & Production

Engage your audienceand build advocacy

Podcasts offer something few formats can: experience and expertise, right from the horse’s mouth. When it comes to engaging your audience more often, for longer and more deeply, they are the most effective tool.

Use your senior people and subject-matter experts to position your brand as thought leaders and turn your brand into your competitive edge.

Whether you want to build authority, spark conversation, or deepen loyalty with the people who matter most, a podcast lets your expertise speak for itself. Literally.

We help you go beyond the idea stage and create a show that works – for your brand, your audience and your business goals. That might mean developing a sharp strategy to position your leaders as expert voices in your field. Or managing the logistics, editing and post-production to make sure it all sounds seamless.

From thought leadership series and customer stories to internal comms and industry insights, we tailor the format to fit your goals – and your listeners’ lives.

"A wonderful job"

Lucy is great to work with, I've worked with her closely on a few of my client projects and she delivers fantastic work. She can take the simplest brief with very little information and turn it into a brilliant piece of copy. Whether it is an article, blog post, website copy or a press release. Lucy learns quickly about each brand, the brand voice and the key brand audience we are engaging or wanting to engage with. Lucy is very easy to work with, giving advice when needed and is always engaged. I trust her completely with any of my clients work that I pass over to her and I know she'll do a wonderful job.

FAQ

Your Podcast Production Questions answered

How much does a podcast cost?

It depends on the format and how hands-on you want to be. There’s some one-off setup work at the beginning – typically a day or two of strategy, planning and creative development. After that, remote podcast episodes usually cost around £400 each, covering recording, editing, and post-production.

In-person episodes can be double that or more, depending on location, equipment and production needs. We’ll always provide a clear breakdown so you know exactly what you’re investing in – and what you’ll get in return.

Why do I need a podcast strategy?

Because the best content is intentional. A podcast strategy ensures every episode supports your wider business and marketing goals – whether that’s brand building, customer engagement, or thought leadership. Without it, you risk creating ad hoc content that doesn’t move the needle. We’ll help you define your audience, tone, format and objectives upfront, so you get a show with purpose.

How do we know podcasting is right for our audience and sector?

We’ll help you find out. We carry out research to understand your audience’s behaviours, what they listen to, and what topics matter most to them. Then we develop a data-informed strategy that’s tailored to your sector and positioning – so you’re not guessing, you’re making smart decisions.

How will a podcast support our wider marketing strategy?

Podcasts are brilliant for nurturing audiences over the long term. While they’re not the best tool for instant reach or lead gen, they excel at deepening relationships with existing followers – through email, social media, or your website. If you want to increase engagement, advocacy and repeat conversion, a podcast can be a powerful part of the mix.

Will this help us build brand authority or just create more noise?

It will build authority. Podcasts give you a platform to showcase your expertise, bring your people to the fore, and lead conversations in your industry. When done well, they demonstrate credibility, perspective and leadership – far beyond what you can achieve in a tweet or blog post.

How do we measure success or ROI from a podcast?

We’ll track listens, subscriber growth and audience retention. You might also gather anecdotal feedback, see increased engagement in other channels, or use your podcast as part of specific campaigns to drive traffic. That said, podcasting is primarily a long-term brand-building activity – not a short-term lead-gen tool. It’s about depth, not just reach.

How much time will this take from our internal team?

We’ll keep it as low-impact as possible. We know your people are busy, so we’ll handle the heavy lifting – from planning and scripting to logistics and editing. All we’ll need is some access to your internal experts or leaders, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Who should host the podcast – someone from our team, or an external presenter?

It depends on your goals and people. If you have a confident internal voice, great – we’ll help them shine. If not, we can bring in an experienced presenter who understands your industry and tone. Either way, we’ll make sure your brand comes across clearly and authentically.

Can you help with scripting or interview questions?

Absolutely. We’ll create full episode outlines, develop talking points and questions, and make sure your guests or hosts feel fully prepared. Whether it’s a polished narrative or a relaxed interview style, we’ll match the right format to your brand and audience.

What if we’re not confident on mic – can you help us sound more polished?

Yes, completely. We’ll make the whole process easy and comfortable, even if it’s your first time. We can coach your team to build confidence and broadcast skills, and we’ll edit every episode to remove filler words and awkward pauses – so you sound professional and at ease.

Can we record remotely or do we need a studio?

We can do either – whatever suits you best. Remote recording works well for busy teams and far-flung guests. If you’d prefer studio-quality audio, we can arrange that too.

What equipment do we need – and can you supply it?

You don’t need anything. We can supply the equipment, handle set-up, and guide you through everything. You focus on the conversation – we’ll manage the tech.

How do we grow an audience – especially from scratch?

We’ll help you make the most of your existing audience through email, social, and website content. We can also support external promotion – from podcast ads to newsletter placements, social ads and partnerships – to get your show in front of the right people.

How much control will we have over the final output?

As much as you like. You’ll sign off on everything that matters – from the structure and tone to the final edit and artwork. We’re here to guide and deliver, but you stay in control.
